A simple weekly routine

  • Every Monday: “Give me a weekly check of my store: sales, orders, stock and anything I should fix.”
  • Every day: “Which orders are paid but still not shipped after 3 days?”
  • Mid-week: “What's running low on stock, and which of those are my best sellers?”
  • Every Friday: “Give me promotion ideas for the weekend, based on my sales and stock.”
  • First of the month: “Compare last month with the month before, and tell me what changed most.”

Tips for the best answers

Start here: your two-minute check-in

Most owners want one thing first: "How am I doing, and what needs me today?" These answer it.

  • “Give me a weekly check of my store: sales, orders, stock and anything I should fix.”
  • “How did my store do last week compared to the week before?”
  • “What happened in my store yesterday?”
  • “What should I fix in my store? Put the most urgent first.”
  • “How is this month going compared with last month so far?”

Sales and revenue

Know where the money comes from, so your time goes where it pays.

  • “What were my revenue, number of orders and average order value last month?”
  • “Compare this month so far with the same days last month.”
  • “Compare last month with the same month last year.”Paid plan
  • “What are my 10 best-selling products by revenue in the last 90 days?”Paid plan
  • “Which products sold the most units this month?”
  • “How much did I refund in the last 30 days, and which orders were refunded?”
  • “Which payment methods do my customers use most?”
  • “Show my sales from 1 to 15 November compared with the same dates last year.”Paid plan

Orders and fulfilment

Catch stuck orders before a customer has to write to you.

  • “Which orders are paid but still not shipped after 3 days?”
  • “Show unpaid orders older than 3 days.”
  • “List my orders on hold and tell me what each one is waiting for.”
  • “Show me the details of order #1045.”
  • “Show all orders from anna@example.com.”
  • “Show orders over 200 placed this month.”
  • “Mark order #1045 completed and add the note "Shipped via DHL".”Changes your store: preview first

Inventory and stock

Never lose a sale to an empty shelf, and don't tie cash up in stock that doesn't move.

  • “What's running low on stock right now?”
  • “Which products are out of stock but still published?”
  • “Which of my best sellers from the last 30 days are running low? Tell me what to reorder first.”
  • “Show products with 3 or fewer left in stock.”
  • “Which products sold the least in the last 90 days?”Paid plan
  • “Set the stock of SKU TS-200 to 40.”Changes your store: preview firstPaid plan
  • “Mark all products in "Summer" as out of stock.”Changes your store: preview firstPaid plan

Products and catalogue

Missing photos, prices and thin descriptions quietly cost you sales.

  • “Which products are missing an image or a description?”
  • “Find products with descriptions shorter than 30 words.”
  • “Which products are still drafts?”
  • “Find products that have no price.”
  • “Show all products in the category "Bike lights" under 50.”
  • “Publish all draft products tagged "ready".”Changes your store: preview firstPaid plan

Pricing and profit

Revenue is vanity, margin is sanity. Margin answers need cost prices in WooCommerce.

  • “What was my profit margin by product last month?”
  • “Which products sell well but earn me the least margin?”
  • “Preview a 5% price increase on all products in "Accessories", rounded to .99.”Changes your store: preview firstPaid plan

  • “Schedule a 10% price rise on the "Winter" category for 1 March at 08:00.”Changes your store: preview firstPaid plan

Discounts and promotions

The right offer at the right time clears slow stock and brings customers back. The wrong one just gives margin away.

  • “Give me promotion ideas based on my sales and stock.”
  • “Create a 15% code WEEKEND15 valid until Sunday night.”Changes your store: preview firstPaid plan
  • “Create code SAVE10: 10 off orders over 75, one use per customer, valid until the end of the month.”Changes your store: preview firstPaid plan

Customers and loyalty

Selling again to a happy customer is far cheaper than finding a new one.

  • “How many new and returning customers did I have last month?”
  • “Who are my top 10 customers by spend this year?”Paid plan
  • “What is my repeat-buyer rate?”
  • “Group my customers into VIP, repeat, one-time, new and lapsed.”
  • “Which customers have not ordered for more than 90 days?”
  • “Which customers bought only once? Give me ideas to bring them back.”

Marketing and growth ideas

Turn your own numbers into a plan for next week.

  • “Which customers have gone quiet? Give me campaign ideas to win them back.”
  • “What should I promote this week, based on my stock and sales?”
  • “Suggest an offer that raises my average order value.”
  • “Which products should I feature on my home page this month, and why?”
  • “Write a short newsletter announcing this weekend's offer, in my brand voice.”

Planning and forecasting

A rough look ahead helps with stock, cash and staff. It's a guide, not a promise.

  • “Forecast my revenue for the next 30 days.”
  • “At my current pace, what will this month's revenue be?”
  • “Based on what sells, which products should I reorder before next month?”
  • “Compare each of the last 4 weeks with the week before, in one table.”

Product texts and brand voice

Good, consistent texts sell more and help people find you on Google.
