Getting started

About five minutes. You need a WooCommerce shop that uses https, and a Claude account.

1. Add Gridly to Claude

  1. Open claude.ai/customize/connectors (in Claude: Customize → Connectors).
  2. Click Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name: Gridly. Address: https://mcp.gridlypaper.com/mcp. Click Continue.
  4. Leave the detected settings as they are and click Add, then Connect.
  5. A Gridly page opens. Enter your email and click Email me a link. Open the link in your email and click Approve.

You'll see “Connected to Gridly” and a list of what Gridly can do. ChatGPT: support is being added; this page will say when it is ready.

2. Connect your shop

  1. Open https://app.gridlypaper.com/stores.
  2. Type your shop's address (for example https://myshop.com) and click Connect my store.
  3. WordPress asks you to approve access. Click Approve. You come back to Gridly.
  4. Click Test connection to check that it works.

If one-click connect doesn't work: in WordPress go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API → Add key, give it Read/Write permission, and paste the two keys into the “paste keys manually” form on the same Gridly page.

3. Ask your first question

  1. Start a new chat in Claude.
  2. Click the + button, open Connectors, and make sure Gridly is switched on.
  3. Try a recipe, for example: How did my shop do last week compared to the week before?

The first time Claude uses a Gridly tool it asks for permission. That's normal — see Approvals and permissions.
